Sonora 2026

On 7th February, Nahar International School hosted Sonora 2026, its inter-house performing arts celebration. This event was a Student Council initiative designed to give students a dedicated platform to showcase their talents in dance, music, and drama.

This year’s theme, “Emotions and Expressions,” guided the performances. Each house interpreted the theme in its own way, presenting acts that explored a wide range of emotions, from joy and energy to conflict and vulnerability. Through coordinated choreography, powerful dialogues, and expressive musical pieces, students brought their ideas to life on stage. The variety in styles and presentation ensured that every act offered a distinct perspective while remaining connected to the central theme.

The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, officially opening Sonora 2026. After that, each house performed, with acts flowing smoothly throughout the event. A panel of esteemed judges evaluated the performances, appreciating the creativity and effort shown by each house, while also providing vital feedback for each performance.

Sonora 2026 highlighted the artistic talent within the NIS community. It gave students a chance to work together, express themselves creatively, and engage with the performing arts. Sonora 2026 marked an important step in strengthening performing arts at Nahar International School and set a strong foundation for future editions.
