In October 2024, Nahar International School proudly witnessed the launch of its biggest inter-school sports event to date — the Nahar StarLeague. Led by myself, Aarohi Shankar, Shaurya Singh, and the Student Council members of the school, the StarLeague was a bold step toward bringing competitive sports to the forefront of school life.
The event was designed exclusively for high school students and featured three major sports: football, basketball, and badminton, across both boys’ and girls’ categories, with separate match days for each. The girls’ matches took place on Day 1, followed by the boys’ category on Day 2, creating two full days of high-energy competition and sporting spirit. With over 300 participants and spectators — including students, coaches, teachers, and volunteers — the atmosphere was vibrant and electric.

What made StarLeague truly special was the professionalism and structure we brought to a school-level tournament. Certified referees and coaches ensured every game was conducted fairly and with the spirit of true sportsmanship. All players had access to basic amenities and the school’s upgraded sports infrastructure, which provided the ideal setting for high-intensity, skill-driven competition.
Each sport had its own share of standout moments — from last-minute football goals and buzzer-beater basketball shots to lightning-fast badminton rallies. The talent, passion, and teamwork displayed by all participants left a lasting impression and raised the bar for future school-level competitions.
Beyond the scores and medals, the Nahar StarLeague stood as a symbol of unity, leadership, and initiative. It was led completely by the Student Council of Nahar International School, and served as a platform where talent met opportunity, allowing students to shine both on the field and through their efforts in organizing and execution.
We thank all the schools who participated, our coaches and referees for their guidance, and the Nahar faculty for their constant support. The Nahar StarLeague 2024 is only the beginning of what we hope will become a long-standing tradition — one that continues to grow in scale, impact, and excitement year after year.
